What Is Life Coaching? "Coaching is an on-going partnership that helps clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning ,improve their performance and enhance their quality of life. Beginning with the clients' desires, coaching uses reporting ,exploring, and a consistent commitment to move the client forward. Coaching accelerates the clients' progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where clients are today and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be tomorrow."
"Life coaching is a process used to assist clients to determine and achieve personal goals. Life coaches use a variety of methods, best suited to the client. Coaching is increasingly diversifying into niche and specialist areas. There is a considerable coaching presence and influence in the following areas: spiritual coaching, parent coaching, corporate coaching, financial coaching, business coaching" - International Coach Federation (ICF).
What Life Coaching is not: Life coaching is not counselling or Therapy, these processes focus more on evaluating the past to attain a solution. Coaching focuses more on the future and attaining goals. Coaching uses a holistic approach to enable clients to develop.
Who are your clients? My clients are people from all walks of life and ages, with different cultures, backgrounds and careers. They all have in common a desire to change, and a willingness to allow someone to be involved in the process. They are also open to new ideas and trying different approaches to achieve success.
Do I need a Life Coach? I believe that everyone would benefit from having a life coach. In essence we're all coaches every time you encourage, motivate, inspire, advise, teach or help someone you're coaching. Those adjectives could easily be describing a parent or role model.
-
If you want someone to believe in you, and empower you to achieve your aspirations in the most enjoyable and effective way then hiring a life coach may be for you.
-
If you have unfulfilled dreams and goals, want to make a change in your life, improve relationships, find your life purpose and or gain more confidence then life coaching may be for you.
-
If you have tried to make changes with little or no success then life coaching may be for you.
-
If you are successful and want to achieve even more than you are doing then life coaching may be for you.

Does wanting or having a Life Coach mean that I have failed in life? No it doesn’t, it means that you want to be the best that you can be, everyone wants that no matter what their walk of life is. Would you call Tiger Woods or Raphael Nadal two of the most successful sportsman in their fields failures because they have coaches? The coaches are there to bring out the best in them, help them remain on track, focused, motivated and enable them to be even more proficient and more successful then they already are. Other successful people who have had coaches include Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Anthony Robbins, Bill Clinton and Lance Armstrong.
I have had people in my life who fulfilled the role of a life coach and I have also use the services of one. I would not call myself or anyone else a failure.
