About Roger's Coaching Style:
  • My coaching style is a mixture of informal, friendly, relaxed and humorous at the right times.
  • I coach in a non-judgemental holistic way, working to enable clients to determine a work life balance that suits them. The mind body balance and soul connection is also another holistic area which can be part of my coaching.
  • The issues that clients want to discuss take priority on all sessions.
  • I aim to build rapport. This is an essential basis for successful communication - if there is no rapport there is no (real) communication.
  • I like to share my positive and negative life experiences if I believe it will help my client. If I have knowledge or expertise in a particular field and the client wishes to listen I will discuss that also.
  • I provide tools and tips to enable my clients to be more effective in achieving goals.
  • I aim to help my clients to think and act outside of the box, and in turn realise the endless possibilities available to them

Life Coaching:
 
The Coach's role is to ask the right questions, which stimulates the answers from the client that they are looking for.
 
Deep inside we all know that we can achieve great things, that knowing creates in us a desire to improve our lot, by the best way we know how. The problem is our methods don’t always work or are not as effective as they could be, this produces, un-fulfilment, lack of faith and a compromise of our goals.
 
My main aim in coaching is to enable my clients to achieve their full potential and goals in the most efficient and effective way possible. The methods used for each client will be tailored to suit their needs.
 
I help my clients to become "No Limit People" (NLP’s) - this will enable them to:
  • Set goals without being held back by past history
  • Realise the many possibilities available to them
  • Have strategies to enable success in all areas of their lives

Success Coaching:
 
Success coaching is geared towards achieving a result normally through measurable goals and targets.
 
'Success' is a relative term. To one person success may be turning up to work on time and losing weight, to another it may be earning £50,000 a year and living in a mansion. So in order to enable my clients to be successful it is important that a framework is in place to define what success is to them. People may also have limiting belief systems which hold them back.
 
Being successful will normally involve having goals relating to:
  • Finances - Getting out of debt, budgeting, earning more money
  • Business - Getting more clients, marketing, staff, stress, goals plans, work / life balance
  • Career - New career direction, unemployment, retraining, skill developing, CV’s, retirement
  • Relationships - Finding a partner, healthy relationships, making new friends, family issues
  • Health - Loosing weight, coping with illness, exercising, healthy eating
Many people believe Success and happiness go hand in hand, and so a by product of being successful is being happy. Happiness is a feeling, an internal thing relating to the mind body spirit connection. That feeling will also result in other positive thoughts and actions.

By discussing with clients how they are linked and their own personal happiness-success connection, strategies can be put in place.

Just as important as being successful is knowing how to handle it, if this is not considered at the outset then the client may not fully appreciate attaining their goals and may end up in a worse position in terms of their outlook on life belief system and life experience.

My method of Success coaching will aim to cover all eventualities.
 
 

Spiritual Coaching:

I believe that there is a part of every person that has the answers to their life issues.

That part is in the persons spirit, in this realm there are no limitations on what we can achieve. When people become disillusioned it is generally (not always) because a part of them knows they can do better in a more effective way. There may also be other activities which they are not currently participating in which will bring them more direction and fulfilment. For each of us the ideal situation is different that is part of the variety of life. By getting in touch with our spiritual side we will be able to find the answers within ourselves.

- Electricity : Spirit Analogy -

Think of spirit as electricity. Electricity and Spirit cannot be seen with our 5 senses. We know the power of Electricity by all the devices that rely on its energy to operate. It is needed to work most of our latest technology, if there is a power cut or frayed cable this reduces the power flowing to the electrical item, this in turn reduces its efficiency or prevents it from working.

Imagine yourself as an electrical appliance plugged into the electrical socket. In order to fulfil your full potential you need to turn on the power switch.

- Mirror Analogy -

Before you go out each day you look at the mirror, this gives you a reflection of your physical self and you know instinctively how to make yourself look your best using the tools available to you. The mirror does not comb your hair or put on your make-up it provides a vehicle which enables you to see your physical self, you are the one who makes the changes.

My aim in Spiritual coaching is to help my clients to see and to understand their whole self and how one part influences the other. Once they are in that place they will know what changes to make to enable personal growth. The most effective method will be used for each client.
 
Developing your spiritual life will help to bring:

Business Coaching:
 
Business is about people and relationships, get that right and the money will take care of itself. The way we are with others will go a long way in determining our success or failure.

Most people are employed not because of what they know but because of how they get along with those around them. Repeat, referral and new business opportunities are gained and maintained due to the experience you give new, existing and potential clients. In order to be successful with people, we need to be successful with ourselves and that requires knowing ourselves deeply, how we think what motivates us, and gets us down and having goals about what are we trying to achieve.

Once we know ourselves, we should make it our priority to know about others, learn about people, relationships, attitudes, beliefs, what makes people happy and sad, In a nutshell find out what people want, how they want it and then figure out a way to give it to them, being authentic in the process. What goes around comes around.

Looking after your staff, and showing them how much you respect and appreciate what they do, will go a long way to providing a excellent workforce, Don’t ask “how little can I pay them ask how much.”

Having an interest in people and how to meet their needs will also give you endless marketing ideas and strategies that many people would not have thought of. Having good relationships with customers and staff, will create a positive vibe in the workplace, and makes people go that extra mile for you. If you employ people ask yourself; what kind of boss would I like to have? and would I work for me?

The success (or not) of your business is ultimately down to you, all of the resources are out there in many guises and areas, are you prepared to look at alternative solutions?

For those who are willing to step out, step up and are not afraid to be different the rewards can be great both financially and in terms of self-worth and fulfillment. A lot can be said and written about how to achieve business success but I believe that it can all be broken down into three main areas:
 
1. Belief
2. Relationships
3. A plan
 
Once someone understands how he or she can best achieve mastery in these areas everything else falls into place. A lot of people I meet in business are good at relationships, good with people and know their jobs but their marketing and the impression they give to customers does not make them stand out from the crowd. Their personality is not stamped on the product sometimes this is a good thing if the person or organization need to change certain characteristics; but in general that is one of the main reasons why the potential work out there stays as potential. I help to put the personality of the individual and company into its marketing and promotion.
 
For example my website and articles - love or hate them - are a reflection of the coach in me. People will feel that they know me even if we have not yet met because I have attempted to put my personality into them. If I were advertising myself for Civil Engineering work you would see a totally different website, Your site should reflect your personality as well as your expertise - no one is a mind reader.
 
Because most of business is won or lost not because of cost but relationships and rapport, I know that a large percentage of the people who contact me will probably become clients, affiliates and friends.

I have worked with Business Owners, Managers and Directors - asking them the right questions to obtain the best solutions required for their situations.

I also act as a Consultant giving advice to clients on areas such as; Company structure Organizational procedures, Cash-flow, Marketing, Planning, Future development and Personal Coaching of staff.

My coaching and consulting will aim to energize, boost and provide concrete plans of action, creating an environment where the business is successful and enjoyed by owners, staff and clients.
